During 2023, as part of one of my campaign proposals, I had the privilege of leading the production of school news programs in collaboration with the Communications Office at Colegio América. These programs highlighted key activities and events at our school and were later shared on the school’s social media platforms, engaging the community and keeping everyone informed.
The news programs were produced in our school’s TV Set with the support of the TriCaster 460, a professional broadcasting system. Each episode was a team effort, where the delegates from various grades—under my coordination—took turns presenting the news. It was inspiring to see my peers step into the role of news anchors, gaining confidence and learning valuable communication skills.
In total, we successfully produced 16 episodes throughout the year, covering everything from academic achievements and cultural events to sports competitions and community initiatives. These episodes were a testament to the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of everyone involved.
This experience not only allowed me to develop my leadership and organizational skills but also strengthened my passion for media production. Working closely with my peers and the Communications Office was incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud of what we accomplished together. The feedback from students, teachers, and parents reinforced the importance of keeping our school community connected and informed.
Producing these news programs was a highlight of my journey as President of the Student Council, and I will always cherish the lessons and memories from this project.
